Assessment System, Examination Rules and Promotion Policy
The school conducts regular assessments and examinations to evaluate academic progress, understanding and overall development of every student.
Assessment is a continuous process that helps teachers, students and parents understand strengths, identify learning gaps and encourage improvement.
Regular examinations are conducted throughout the academic year so that teachers and parents can understand how much a student has been able to comprehend.
These examinations help monitor the general day-to-day academic progress of every student.
Students are expected to appear for all examinations and tests conducted by the school.
No student should absent himself or herself from any examination except when prevented by genuine health reasons.
In such cases a valid medical certificate is required.
Honesty and integrity are fundamental values of the school.
Students found copying, attempting to copy or engaging in any unfair means during examinations will have their answer paper confiscated.
No marks will be awarded for the concerned paper.
Students absent from examinations or tests are generally not re-examined.
Parents are therefore advised to ensure that students attend all examinations as scheduled.
Absence exceeding thirty days in an academic year without prior permission from the school may render a student ineligible for promotion.
Regular attendance is therefore essential for academic success and progression.
Promotion from one standard to another is made at the end of the academic year on the basis of the student's overall performance throughout the year.
Academic achievement, attendance and conduct are taken into consideration.
All promotions are granted according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the CISCE Board.
Students are expected to meet the academic standards established by the board and the school.
Results once declared shall be treated as final.
Parents are encouraged to discuss academic progress with teachers during Parent-Teacher Meetings whenever required.
